Positively Impacting Shanklin Students

Through the many initiatives sponsored or supported by Friends of Shanklin, students are able to expand their learning and experiences.

-
Annual Leadership Awards recognize students who excel at displaying the "Leader In Me" attributes at the core of Shanklin's philosophy
-
Annual Book Giveaways provide students with a chance to receive a book that is their own as an encouragement for them to read and make reading a regular part of their lives.
-
Volunteer efforts help students to work and develop skills in reading and mathematics. Spanning all grades and all proficiency levels, Habersham-based tutors assist students with opportunities to review, practice, and expand their skills.
-
Experience Fund field trips provide an alignment with the curriculum being taught and an exposure to life beyond the world the students know in Burton, SC.
-
Experience Fund virtual presentations are learning programs for students to apply, improve, and enrich their understanding of various science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) concepts taught in the classroom.
